To manually add contacts into your list, go to the left-hand tab and click on Contacts & Leads > My Contacts. To the left side of that page at the top, hit the “New Contact” button to manually add in leads.
Manually added leads cannot be enrolled in autoresponse email campaigns. They'll need to opt-in on a lead capture page for this to happen.
Depending on how many contacts you want manually enrolled in an autoresponse series, we recommend setting up a MailChimp, Sendlane, Getresponse, Aweber, Constant Contact, etc. account, uploading your contacts into there and sending out an email blast with a link to your lead capture page, asking those who are interested to opt-in for more information.
Alternatively, you can always add contacts, then send an Email Broadcast to them with a link to a lead capture page, asking them to opt-in to begin receiving autoresponse emails. To do this, add your contacts using the method above to manually add contacts.
Next, you’ll want to create a new email message to send to these contacts that will direct them to opt-in on one of your lead capture pages. On the left-hand side of your page, click Email, Text, Voice > Create an Email. Make sure to save the email to your message library and input the information you would like (For a sample of how to input information, watch Video #9 - How to Edit Your Emails).
Lastly, you’ll want to hit the Email Broadcast link under Email, Text, Voice in the left-hand tab. First, select which message you want to send from your message library. You’ll notice at the top a blue button called “Create Your Broadcast List.” If you hit this, you’ll be able to select which contacts you want to receive the email. Once your contacts are selected and the email you want to use is selected from your message library, scroll to the bottom of the page and hit “Send Now.”
